Degenerator

Degenerator, known as デジョネーター in Japanese, is a Blue Magic spell that Quistis Trepe can learn in Final Fantasy VIII. This ability removes a targeted enemy from the battle, effectively banishing it to another dimension. Its success rate depends on whether the enemy is susceptible to ejection, and unlike other Limit Breaks, it works equally well at any Crisis Level. It is often considered one of Quistis's best Limit Breaks, especially against regular enemies, as it can instantly defeat them regardless of their remaining HP. The skill is learned by using the item "Black Hole," which can be obtained by defeating Gesper enemies or refining Gesper or Diablos cards. While some enemies such as Grats, Vysages, Cactuars, Tonberries, and bosses are immune, it is very effective against most random encounters. Degenerator is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy VI. Its effects may vary slightly across games, but its core function is to remove enemies from battle.
