Curaga

In Final Fantasy VIII, Curaga (ケアルガ) is an advanced restorative magic spell, an upgrade from Cure and Cura. It greatly restores a target's Hit Points (HP) and can also be junctioned to enhance a character's stats, especially HP. Players can obtain Curaga by drawing it from enemies, extracting it from draw points in the environment, or crafting it from items through refining. Early in the game, using Siren's L Mag-RF ability allows the refinement of Tents into Curaga, giving players an early source of this potent spell. Casting Curaga in battle impacts compatibility with certain Guardian Forces (GFs), increasing compatibility with Carbuncle and Alexander, while decreasing it with Eden. Curaga can heal characters and damage undead enemies. Its early availability makes it an effective way to boost HP, and it remains useful for vitality and spirit junctions even later in the game, despite eventually being outclassed by more potent spells.
