Blizzara

In Final Fantasy VIII, Blizzara is an intermediate ice-elemental magic spell, stronger than Blizzard but weaker than Blizzaga. This spell can be acquired by drawing it from enemies in battles or through refining. Blizzara can be used in combat to inflict moderate ice damage to enemies, or junctioned to character stats to enhance their ice attack or defense capabilities. During the early stages of the game, Blizzara is a crucial spell for dealing with ice-weak enemies and for boosting character attributes. Furthermore, Blizzara can be cast as a spell, used by Selphie's Slot Limit Break and Rinoa's Angel Wing. The use of Blizzara in battle also increases compatibility with the Guardian Force Shiva, while decreasing compatibility with Ifrit and Eden. As enemy levels scale with the party's level, Blizzara also serves as one of the base spells for refining Blizzaga during the later stages of the game.
