Blizzaga

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Blizzaga" (ブリザガ) is a high-level ice magic, the pinnacle of ice-based spells in the game, surpassing both "Blizzard" (ブリザド) and "Blizzara" (ブリザラ). Players can acquire this spell by "drawing" it from enemies or specific locations, or by refining certain items. It can be used to inflict significant ice damage on enemies, or "junctioned" to a character's stats to boost their strength, magic power, etc., and can provide resistance or absorption to ice damage. In battle, using "Blizzaga" increases compatibility with the summon "Shiva" and decreases compatibility with "Ifrit." It's one of the powerful spells frequently used by players in the later parts of the game. While initially difficult to obtain, methods like the "Triple Triad" card game allow for early acquisition.
