Haste

In Final Fantasy VIII, 'Haste' is an indirect magic spell that increases the target's speed, allowing them to act more often in battle. Besides being cast directly, Haste can be applied as a status effect or through support abilities like Auto-Haste. This spell can be drawn from enemies or specific locations and refined from certain items. In terms of junctioning, Haste provides a notable boost to speed, making it a critical buff. It can also be cast through Selphie's Limit Break 'Slot'. Haste has a long history in the Final Fantasy series, appearing as a common buff spell in almost every title since the early days of the series.
