Potion

In Final Fantasy VIII, the Potion (ポーション) is a basic healing item used to restore a character's health points. While common in the early stages of the game, its recovery amount becomes insufficient as the game progresses. Players can obtain Potions through various means, including drops from enemies, stealing, purchasing in shops, picking them up on maps, and obtaining them through events, even through the Chocobo World mini-game. Additionally, Potions can be used as materials for refining items in Final Fantasy VIII. With the 'Med LV Up' ability, 10 Potions can be refined into a Potion+, which recovers more health. There is also a skill called 'Auto-Potion,' which, when equipped, automatically uses a Potion to heal a character when their health is low. Be aware that if using the auto-potion skill, the weakest potion in inventory will be consumed first. Also, the 'Med Data' ability can double the healing effect of Potion and Potion+.
