G-Potion

The G-Potion in Final Fantasy VIII is a recovery item primarily used to restore the HP of Guardian Forces (GFs) during battles. Unlike regular potions, G-Potions are specifically designed for GFs, not characters. G-Potions cannot be obtained through magic refinement, item refinement, or weapon modification. They are primarily acquired by purchasing them from shops, monster drops, and the "Chocobo World" minigame. It is important to note that although G-Potions are vital in the game, they cannot be used for magic refinement, item refinement, or weapon modification, which differs from G-Hi Potions. Additionally, in some Final Fantasy spin-offs, like Final Fantasy Record Keeper, G-Potions are transformed into equipment pieces. Overall, G-Potions are a unique consumable item in Final Fantasy VIII, with their primary function being to enhance the combat sustainability of Guardian Forces rather than directly strengthening the characters themselves.
