Luck-J Scroll

In Final Fantasy VIII, the "Luck-J Scroll" is a key item that allows Guardian Forces (GFs) to learn the "Luck-J" ability. A GF with the "Luck-J" ability enables a character to junction magic to their Luck stat, increasing their evasion rate, hit rate, and critical hit rate. Although Squall's hit rate is already perfect, and his critical hits are manually determined, the Luck-J skill is highly beneficial for other characters. The Luck-J Scroll can be obtained in various ways, including defeating specific enemies, finding it in certain locations, or completing particular quests. For example, it can be stolen from Odin, obtained from the Obel Lake quest, or learned by the GF Cactuar after defeating Cactuar. Different spells junctioned to the Luck stat provide variable attribute increases, with Ultima being the most suitable spell. Although the Luck stat has a cap of 255, it's generally not possible to reach this limit even with the best equipment and magic. Luck-J is particularly useful for characters like Zell and Irvine, as it allows them to more effectively utilize their Limit Breaks by increasing their critical hit rate.
