Gold Armor

In Final Fantasy VIII, the "Gold Armor" (ゴールドアーマー) is not a traditional piece of equipment, but rather an item that teaches Guardian Forces (GF) abilities. Its primary use is to teach GFs the "GFHP+30%" ability, which increases their maximum HP. In the game, Gold Armor can be obtained in two ways: through Angelo Search on the world map (with a low probability) or through refining, by transforming 5 "Silver Mails" into 1 "Gold Armor." Furthermore, Gold Armor can be further refined into other items, such as 4 "Pet Houses" or 1 "Diamond Armor." While Gold Armor itself does not provide direct defensive benefits, in the unique battle system of Final Fantasy VIII, it plays a crucial role in strengthening GFs, thereby indirectly enhancing a character's survivability in battle. Therefore, Gold Armor is a strategic item in the game, requiring players to use it cleverly to build powerful GF teams.
