Gaea's Ring

The Gaea's Ring (ガイアの指輪) is an item in Final Fantasy VIII. It is a GF (Guardian Force) item that allows a GF to learn the 'HP+80%' ability, which increases the maximum health of the character that has the GF equipped. The Gaea's Ring cannot be purchased directly and is primarily obtained as a drop from certain monsters such as Cactuar, through refining items (10 Giant's Rings), or through card modification (transforming Ward's card). It can also be refined into other items, such as an HP Up item. In the game, the Gaea's Ring is an important item for enhancing character survivability and is well worth collecting and using.
