Strength Love

In Final Fantasy VIII, 'Strength Love,' also known as 'ちからだすき' (Chikara Dasuki), is an item that teaches a Guardian Force (GF) the 'Str +20%' ability. This item doesn't directly boost character stats; instead, it enhances GFs, which indirectly raises character attributes. It can be obtained as a drop or steal from level 20 or higher Wendigos, or by refining 10 Gargantua cards. Additionally, refining two Aura Stones yields one Strength Love. This item plays a crucial role in increasing a character's Strength stat, which in Final Fantasy VIII, is primarily enhanced via GF abilities and the Junction system, rather than direct character growth. Players need to collect enough Strength Love to boost GF capabilities and ultimately enhance character Strength. The term 'ちからだすき' translates to 'strength amulet' or 'strength sash' in Japanese, aptly reflecting its in-game role in helping characters wield more power. This concept, represented by either a sash or similar items, often appears in other Final Fantasy titles, also associated with boosting the character's Strength attribute.
