Turtle Shell

In Final Fantasy VIII, the Turtle Shell (カメのこうら) is a recurring item primarily used to enhance characters within the game. It mainly functions as a G.F. (Guardian Force) ability item. When used, it teaches a specific G.F. the ability “Vit+20%,” which increases a character's health points. Turtle Shells can be acquired through various means, such as dropped or stolen from certain enemies like Adamantoise, or through Card Mod, by transforming Adamantoise or X-ATM092 cards. Furthermore, Turtle Shells can be refined into magic; the Magic Refine ability allows one Turtle Shell to be refined into 30 'Protect' spells or Tool-RF allows you to refine one to 10 Protect Stones.
