Steel Curtain

In Final Fantasy VIII, the 'Steel Curtain' (鉄のカーテン) is an important item. It is not directly used in battle but rather serves as a material for item refinement and weapon modification. Players can obtain Steel Curtains in various ways, including drops from enemies, finding them in specific locations on the map, or as rewards in the 'Chocobo World' minigame. Once acquired, it can be refined into useful magic spells or used as a material for upgrading weapons. Players might find it relatively rare in the early game, but it becomes more accessible through various avenues as the game progresses. The value of the Steel Curtain lies in its ability to enhance the player's combat capabilities, making it a worthwhile item to look out for and collect during gameplay. While not a core item, it’s a necessary component for players seeking better combat strength and comprehensive item collection. In short, it is a strategically significant resource in Final Fantasy VIII.
