Glow Curtain

The "Glow Curtain" (光のカーテン) in Final Fantasy VIII is a crucial G.F. ability item. It enables Guardian Forces (G.F.) to learn the "Auto-Reflect" ability, which is extremely useful in battles by allowing characters to automatically reflect certain magic attacks. This item is not consumable; its primary purpose is to enable G.F. ability learning. In the game, Glow Curtains can be obtained through various methods: by refining 100 Dragon Skins using the G.F. Ability Med-RF, or by modding a Carbuncle card to get 3 Glow Curtains. Additionally, it can be acquired through the "Chocobo World" minigame. Notably, Glow Curtains can also be used for further refining, for example, using Support Magic Refine to convert one Glow Curtain into 100 Reflect spells. In the late game, G.F.s with Auto-Reflect are essential for some difficult battles, making the Glow Curtain a highly valuable item for players. It is not just an item but also a vital resource for strengthening G.F. abilities and enhancing character survivability.
