Doc's Code

Doc's Code, or 医術の心得 (Ijutsu no Kokoroe) in Japanese, is a significant item in Final Fantasy VIII. It allows Guardian Forces (GFs) to learn the 'Med Data' ability, which enhances the potency of items. In the game, Doc's Code can be obtained in several ways, including refining 10 Elixirs, or converting a Leviathan card into 3 Doc's Codes using Quezacotl’s Card Mod ability. Additionally, a single Doc's Code can be refined into a Megalixir using Doomtrain's Forbid Med-RF ability. This item has appeared multiple times throughout the Final Fantasy series, generally as an item or accessory that increases the effectiveness of items. For instance, in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, it functions as an accessory, automatically using a Potion when Zack's HP falls below 25% and providing AP+10% when used in Materia Fusion. The rarity and utility of the Doc's Code make it an important element for players in exploring and enhancing their GF abilities.
