Three Stars

The "Three Stars" (スリースターズ), also known as "Celestriad" or "Economizer", is a recurring item in Final Fantasy VIII primarily used to reduce the MP cost of magic and skills. Its effects and methods of acquisition vary across different Final Fantasy games. In Final Fantasy VI, it appears as "Celestriad", reducing the MP cost of all magic spells, lores, and summons to 1. However, in Final Fantasy VIII, Three Stars is not a MP reduction item itself but is a rare item used for item refining. Players can obtain it through stealing from or dropping by monsters, or through item refining. For instance, 10 "Curse Spike" can be refined into 1 "Three Stars." Additionally, it can be used for weapon customization to give weapons the "1 MP Cost" ability. In other titles, like Final Fantasy X, Three Stars can reduce the party's MP cost to 0 or used as material for customizing weapons and magics. It also appears in other Final Fantasy games, such as Final Fantasy XV, with various effects and acquisition methods.
