Fire Ammo

Fire Ammo is a type of ammunition used by Irvine in Final Fantasy VIII for his Limit Break, “Shot.” Fire Ammo deals Fire-elemental physical damage, with the damage output dependent on Irvine's Strength stat. Players can create Fire Ammo by using the Ammo-RF ability of the Guardian Force Ifrit, using materials like Bomb Fragments, Fuel, and Red Fangs. Alternatively, Fire Ammo can be purchased from shops in Esthar City. When Irvine uses his “Shot” Limit Break with Fire Ammo, the firing speed is moderate, and the duration depends on Irvine's Crisis Level. A higher Crisis Level will allow for a longer shooting time. In combat, Fire Ammo is highly effective against enemies weak to Fire. The damage calculation is also affected by factors such as the enemy's vitality and Irvine's Luck stat. Players can maximize Fire Ammo's damage by increasing Irvine's strength, using Guardian Forces that boost luck, or by inflicting debuffs on enemies. Fire Ammo is effective against groups of enemies because it inflicts damage to all foes.
