Mesmerize Blade

The "Mesmerize Blade" from Final Fantasy VIII is an item obtainable from the enemy Mesmerize, a white, equine-like creature with a curved, sickle-shaped horn. This item is versatile, serving multiple purposes including magic refinement, item refinement, and weapon modification. In magic refinement, Mesmerize Blades can be refined into 'Regen' magic. For item refinement, two Mesmerize Blades can be refined into one 'Mega-Potion'. Additionally, Mesmerize Blades can be used as materials for weapon upgrades. The Mesmerize enemy itself is not particularly strong, using attacks like kicking, ramming, and ejecting its horns. It can be defeated swiftly with physical attacks or 'Death' magic. Players can also obtain Mesmerize Blades by stealing from or defeating Mesmerizes. In early game scenarios, converting Triple Triad cards to Mesmerize Blades is a way to get 'Regen' magic earlier, making Mesmerize cards worth collecting.
