Dragon Fin

In Final Fantasy VIII, Dragon Fin and Dragon Scales (竜のウロコ) are distinct items with different purposes. Dragon Fins are typically acquired by 'mugging' dragon-type enemies using Diablos' ability, primarily serving as materials for weapon synthesis or refining into magic. Dragon Scales (竜のウロコ), on the other hand, are common drops obtained from various enemies, including dragons, or via the Chocobo World minigame. Their main purpose is refining into magic or as materials for weapon upgrades, allowing players to transform them into powerful spells. Both items play crucial roles in character progression and equipment upgrades, each with unique acquisition methods and applications, requiring players to strategically manage these resources based on their needs.
