Spr Up (マインドアップ), also known as Mind Source or Mind Plus, is a rare item in the Final Fantasy series, including Final Fantasy VIII. Its primary function is to permanently increase a character's Spirit stat, making it a highly valued item. In Final Fantasy VIII, Spr Up can be initially stolen once from Norg Right Pod, and subsequently obtained only by refining 10 Magic Armlets into 1 Spr Up. Given that the Spirit stat significantly affects magical defense and certain special abilities, Spr Up is essential for players aiming for optimal character stats. Its complex acquisition process adds to its scarcity. Similar items, such as Mind Source and Mind Plus, with comparable functions, exist in other Final Fantasy titles, all enhancing a character's Spirit attribute.
