LuvLuv G

LuvLuv G is a special item in Final Fantasy VIII, also known as "Love Love G." It appears in the game as a heart-shaped material with the primary function of greatly increasing a character's compatibility with Guardian Forces (GF), enhancing the affinity between characters and summoned creatures. Guardian Forces are an essential part of FFVIII's battle system, and by "junctioning" a GF, a character can gain powerful abilities and magic. LuvLuv G significantly reduces the time needed to summon a GF and improves their combat effects, thus enhancing the character's fighting ability. This item is relatively rare, usually obtained from specific locations or by certain methods, such as in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, where it is used as a material to craft Seifer's Coat (Disciplined). Within the story, LuvLuv G is regarded as a material from a distant world, used to enhance compatibility with the energy beings called "Guardian Forces." It not only plays a vital role in battles but also symbolizes the game's depth and exploratory nature. Although it does not have negative effects in the game mechanics, the game highlights that long-term use of Guardian Forces causes memory loss, which imbues LuvLuv G and its power to enhance GFs with a deeper meaning.
