Weapons Mon Jul

The "Weapons Monthly July Issue" in Final Fantasy VIII is a crucial in-game magazine that provides information on weapon upgrades for characters. While weapons can be upgraded without the magazine, it details the materials needed for specific upgrades. The July issue can be found at Balamb Garden's Training Center, after the Battle of the Gardens and by entering the training area on the left. This magazine unlocks blueprints for weapons such as the 'Lance of Slit,' 'Rising Sun,' 'Bismarck,' and 'Crescent Wish.' It cannot be used for magic or item refinement, nor directly for weapon remodeling. Weapon upgrades in the game do not involve purchasing new weapons, but rather upgrading the base weapons by collecting materials at the shops. These upgrades, especially for Squall's gunblades, unlock new Limit Breaks. For efficient weapon upgrades, it is advisable to gather the required materials, which can be obtained by utilizing card modifications. The magazines in the game can be purchased from Esthar's Book Store, though the 1st issue requires the Guardian Force Tonberry’s Familiar ability.
