Combat King 003

Combat King 003 is a magazine in Final Fantasy VIII that teaches Zell new Duel skills. This magazine is not purchased directly from shops; instead, it's obtained through a side quest involving the Library Girl. After liberating Balamb, players must return to Balamb Town, ensuring Zell is in the party. After speaking with the Library Girl in Balamb Garden’s library, players need to visit Zell’s house. Then stay the night at Balamb Hotel; upon waking up, go downstairs where Zell will be talking to a girl with pigtails who will give him the Combat King 003. This magazine unlocks Zell's special skill "Meteor Strike", allowing it to be used even without inputting the correct button combinations beforehand. Moreover, the magazine is part of Zell's and the Library Girl's storyline, with players experiencing different dialogues depending on the triggered scenes. While Combat King 003 can't be used for item refining or weapon upgrades, it's vital for Zell's skill development.
