Mag-J

Mag-J is a crucial ability in Final Fantasy VIII that allows players to junction magic to their Magic stat, greatly enhancing spell power and healing effectiveness. It isn't learned directly, but by junctioning Guardian Forces (GF) to characters. Specific GFs natively possess Mag-J, such as Quezacotl, Siren, Diablos, Carbuncle, Leviathan, and Cerberus; players can also teach it to other GFs with 'Mag-J Scroll' items. When a GF with Mag-J is junctioned, the character can link their collected magic to their Magic stat. Different spells provide varying Magic stat bonuses, with stronger spells like high-level offensive ones or 'Triple' typically offering larger boosts.
