Draw

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Draw" (ドロー) is a core battle command that allows characters to gather magic from enemies or "Draw Points" in the environment. Unlike previous entries in the series, Final Fantasy VIII does not use Magic Points (MP), instead relying on "Draw" to obtain and stock spells. These spells can be cast directly or, through the "Junction" system, linked to character stats, increasing power, defense, and other abilities. Each character can stock up to 32 different spells, with each spell having a maximum of 100 units. The success rate of the Draw system depends on the character's Magic stat and the difficulty of drawing a specific spell; higher magic stats improve success and quantity. Also, "Draw" is not limited to magic, it can be used to obtain Guardian Forces (GF). "Draw" is a key element of the unique gameplay of Final Fantasy VIII, encouraging exploration and combat to gather powerful magic and GFs to empower characters.
