Vit Bonus

In Final Fantasy VIII, 'Vit Bonus' is a support ability that permanently increases a character's Vitality stat upon leveling up. When a Guardian Force (GF) with this ability is equipped, the character gains additional Vitality points with each level gained, which is crucial for players aiming to maximize character stats, even without Vit Junctions. Vit Bonus can be learned through the Guardian Forces Carbuncle and Cactuar. Carbuncle can be drawn from Iguions during the Deling City parade or from Krysta in the final dungeon and learns Vit Bonus for 100 AP after mastering 'Vit+40%'. Cactuar is recruited by defeating Jumbo Cactuar on Cactuar Island and comes with all stat bonus abilities learned. Once removed, Vit Bonus cannot be relearned. Vit Bonus provides a +1 Vitality bonus for each level up. Although the maximum Vitality stat can be reached through other means, using Vit Bonus allows players to reach that maximum with fewer spells or weaker magic types. For players who want to grind Vitality by leveling up, learning Vit Bonus as soon as possible and combining it with other stat bonus abilities is a wise choice.
