Auto-Haste

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Auto-Haste" is a highly beneficial support ability that grants a permanent "Haste" status to a character, increasing their ATB (Active Time Battle) gauge fill rate by 50%. This status remains active throughout battles, even after the character is KO'd and revived. Auto-Haste cannot be dispelled and makes the character immune to "Slow" status. Players can learn this ability from the Guardian Force Cerberus for 150 AP, after mastering the 'Spd+40%' and 'Spd+20%' abilities. Additionally, players can use the Accelerator item to teach Auto-Haste to any Guardian Force. Accelerators can be obtained by modifying Kiros's card, or by refining Lightweight items. Auto-Haste is crucial for character action frequency, allowing them to act faster and more often in battle. It is especially valuable in long battles, proving superior to 'Initiative' because it does not require an action to be cast. Auto-Haste is particularly effective for certain characters, such as Rinoa.
