Move-HP

"Move-HP," or "歩くとHP回復" is a recurring support ability in Final Fantasy VIII. When equipped, it allows the character to recover HP slowly while moving around on the map. This ability can be learned by the Guardian Forces (G.F.) Cactuar, Tonberry, and Bahamut for 200 AP each. Cactuar is recruited by defeating Jumbo Cactuar on Cactuar Island, reachable via a flying transport. Tonberry is recruited by defeating Tonberry King in the Centra Ruins after defeating a sufficient number of Tonberries. Bahamut is obtained from a fight on a hidden island in the corner of the world map. Additionally, all Guardian Forces have an inherent trait of passively recovering HP while moving, even without learning the ability. In some Final Fantasy titles, Move-HP is also known as "HP Stroll" and can be obtained through equipment or specific abilities. In Final Fantasy X, HP Stroll is an auto-ability that can be found on dropped armor or customized with Stamina Tablets. In Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Move-HP appears as a proactive ability, needing to be equipped for use during Field Music Sequence stages, recovering HP through good or better evaluations. Though the amount of HP restored is small, Move-HP serves as a passive healing method, particularly early in the game or when other healing options are scarce.
