Call Shop

The "Call Shop" ability, known as "ショップ呼び出し" in Japanese, in Final Fantasy VIII allows players to access any shop they have visited throughout the game directly from the menu. This is crucial in the late game when many locations are sealed off, making direct access to shops impossible. The ability is learned by the Guardian Force Tonberry, requiring the "Familiar" ability to be learned first and 200 AP to master. "Call Shop" enables players to quickly purchase items without traveling the map. It is especially useful for menu grinding for stat-up items in the late game, when towns are locked down. Also, combining it with the "Haggle" and "Sell High" abilities can accelerate money making to buy necessary items. However, if you forget the ability with "Amnesia Greens", it cannot be reacquired. There is also a dummied out shop called "Trabia Shop" that can be added to the Call Shop menu with game modifiers, but its items are the same as other shops.
