T Mag-RF

T Mag-RF, also known as Thunder Magic Refiner, is a menu ability in Final Fantasy VIII. This ability allows players to convert specific items into thunder and wind magic spells. It is learned by the Guardian Force Quezacotl and requires 30 AP to acquire. Refining magic via T Mag-RF allows players to obtain more powerful spells early in the game without relying on drawing them from enemies. For example, Creeps cards can be turned into Coral Fragments, then refined into thunder magic, while Blitz cards can be turned into Dynamo Stones, then refined into thunder magic. Additionally, players can use T Mag-RF to convert Abyss Worm cards into Windmills, which can be refined into Tornado spells. Mastering T Mag-RF enables players to customize their characters more effectively. Note that this ability cannot be reacquired if removed using Amnesia Greens.
