L Mag-RF

In Final Fantasy VIII, 'L Mag-RF' (Life Magic Refiner) is a menu ability that allows players to refine certain items into curative, resurrection, instant death, zombie, and holy magic spells. This method of refinement is often more convenient than drawing magic from enemies and allows for earlier access to high-tier spells like Holy and Full-Life. The Guardian Force Siren learns the L Mag-RF ability, requiring 30 AP. Siren can be obtained by drawing from Elvoret atop the Dollet Communications Tower or from Tri-Point in the final dungeon. Using L Mag-RF, players can select items in their inventory and transform them into magic, which can be allocated to party members with free magic slots. Each member has 32 magic slots and can hold 100 of each spell type. L Mag-RF is highly useful as it can produce not only recovery and resurrection spells but also Zombie, Death, and Holy spells. Using tents to refine curative spells is a great way to access early healing magic. Additionally, Regen spells can be created from Mesmerize Blades, Death from Chef's Knives, Full-Life from Chimera cards, and Holy from Moon Stones, providing access to more powerful magic.
