Recov Med-RF

In Final Fantasy VIII, Recov Med-RF is a crucial menu ability that allows players to refine items into recovery medicines. The Guardian Force that possesses this ability is Carbuncle, who learns it for 30 AP. Carbuncle can be obtained from Iguions during the Deling City parade or from Krysta in the final dungeon. Once removed with Amnesia Greens, the ability cannot be regained. Using Recov Med-RF enables players to create Hi-Potions, Phoenix Downs, and Mega-Potions. Mega-Potions are particularly useful early on for party-wide healing and can be obtained by refining Cottages or Tents, or through card modding from Mesmerize Blades. Recov Med-RF does not create higher-level recovery items such as X-Potions or + versions of items, which require Med LV Up from Alexander. This ability is primarily used to replenish recovery items when shops are unavailable or resources are scarce. Unlike GFRecov Med-RF, which is for healing Guardian Forces, Recov Med-RF is primarily for character recovery.
