Med Lv Up

In Final Fantasy VIII, “Med LV Up” (薬レベルアップ) is a menu ability that allows players to upgrade basic restorative and invincibility items into higher-grade versions. This ability is crucial for recruiting the hidden Guardian Force Doomtrain, as it's needed to create Remedy+. Med LV Up is learned by the Guardian Force Alexander for 120 AP after mastering Med Data first. Alexander can be obtained from the boss at the end of the Battle of the Gardens or from Catoblepas in the final dungeon. With this ability, players can craft advanced medicines, such as upgrading a Remedy into a Remedy+, or an Elixir into a Megalixir. While it can also be used to create Heros and Holy Wars, it's not very efficient for this purpose. Additionally, while X-Potions can be upgraded into Mega-Potions, there are better ways to obtain the latter. The main value of Med LV Up is its ability to create Remedy+, which is necessary for recruiting Doomtrain.
