Deep Sea Research Center

The Deep Sea Research Center, also known as the Marine Exploration Artificial Island, is a hidden optional location in Final Fantasy VIII. This abandoned mobile research facility is located in the southwestern corner of the world map and is accessible after acquiring the Ragnarok airship. The location is divided into two main areas: the upper laboratory and the lower underwater ruins. In the laboratory, players must challenge the Guardian Force Bahamut and solve puzzles to reach the lower level. In the lower ruins, players will face more powerful enemies and have the opportunity to challenge the ultimate Guardian Force Eden. The Deep Sea Research Center is known for its challenging enemies and unique environment, and is an ideal place to obtain rare items and powerful magic. Players can farm Curse Spikes here, which can be converted into Dark Matter, and then into other valuable items. In addition, there are rich hidden items and powerful enemies here, making it a deep exploration element in Final Fantasy VIII.
