Tear's Point

Tear's Point is a location in *Final Fantasy VIII*, situated in the southeastern region of the Esthar continent, near Esthar City. It was identified as a potential site for the 'Lunar Cry,' a phenomenon where monsters from the moon fall to Earth. To prevent this, Esthar scientists established an energy field and placed multiple energy generators around the area, yet ultimately failed to avert the 'Lunar Cry.' Tear's Point is best known as the pivotal location for acquiring the Guardian Force 'Doomtrain.' Players must find the Solomon Ring here, combined with specific items, to summon 'Doomtrain.' In the game's plot, it is a vital setting used to trigger the 'Lunar Cry' event, playing a key role in the story's progression. Additionally, Tear's Point is one of the few accessible areas in the late game, enabling players to obtain 'Doomtrain' and other items.
