Balamb Garden

Balamb Garden is a major location in Final Fantasy VIII, situated east of the town of Balamb. It is a military academy that trains SeeDs, an elite mercenary force. Balamb Garden is one of the three Gardens in the world, alongside Trabia Garden and Galbadia Garden. It serves not only as a place for the main characters to live and train but also as a mobile means of transportation. The Garden has strict rules, students must wear uniforms, and obey curfew. Balamb Garden was established by Cid and Edea and funded by NORG, originally remodeled from a Centra shelter. In the story, Balamb Garden experiences many events, including being attacked by missiles, transforming into a mobile fortress, and battles with other Gardens. Throughout their journey, the main characters frequently return here, and celebrate after the final battle. The Garden's interior is complex, including classrooms, a library, and a training center, and is central to the story and characters of Final Fantasy VIII.
