Trabia - Hawkwind Plains

In the world of Final Fantasy VIII, Trabia is a snow-covered continent located in the northeastern part of the world map. It is characterized by icy wastelands and towering mountains, as well as scattered islands surrounding the main landmass. A notable feature of Trabia is a large crater in its southeast region, said to have been created 17 years prior by the Lunar Cry triggered by Esthar's testing of Lunatic Pandora. This crater acts as a barrier preventing early player access to the Esthar continent. The Trabia continent is home to Trabia Garden, a ruined academy destroyed by missiles, which is also the alma mater of the game's character Selphie Tilmitt. The area also houses the Shumi and Moombas tribes, small creatures typically found in isolated communities. Additionally, Trabia includes an area known as the Hawkwind Plains, although not described in detail in the game, it can be inferred to be a snow-covered area as well. Trabia plays a significant role in the plot of Final Fantasy VIII, and its history and geography add depth to the game's lore.
