Trabia - Trabia Crater

Trabia is a snow-covered continent located in the northeast of the world map in Final Fantasy VIII. It is characterized by its cold climate, snowy landscapes, and numerous mountain ranges. A large crater exists in the southeast of the continent, created by an event 17 years prior when Esthar triggered a Lunar Cry during testing, an event witnessed by Laguna Loire during a film shoot in the Trabia Valley. This crater serves as a barrier in-game to prevent players from reaching Esthar too early. Trabia is primarily inhabited by the students and staff of Trabia Garden, with the Shumi and Moombas inhabiting a small island to the northwest. Additionally, to the south bordering Esthar lies the Vienne Mountains, which was the location of filming the movie 'Zefer,' and a dream sequence. The player can visit Trabia Garden after its destruction, and interact with some residents. The Trabia Crater area is also one of the locations where the Dragon Izolde appears and allows player to draw strong magic.
