Trabia - Vienne Mountains

In Final Fantasy VIII, Trabia is a frigid continent located in the northeastern part of the world map, characterized by its snowy landscapes and mountains. It's inhabited by the Moombas and Shumi tribes, as well as the students and faculty of Trabia Garden. Trabia is notable for its unique crater, a result of a Lunar Cry triggered by Esthar 17 years prior, effectively barring player access to Esthar early in the game. The Vienne Mountains lie on Trabia's southern border, adjacent to Esthar. This mountain range stretches from the west coast to the east coast, featuring a trail allowing passage from the Trabia Crater to the Mordred Plains. However, access to this area is impossible until the player obtains the airship Ragnarok. In the game, the Vienne Mountains appear in a dream sequence where Laguna Loire encounters a Ruby Dragon while filming a movie. Although visiting the Vienne Mountains in the present day is optional and lacks any reward, it adds to the world-building of Final Fantasy VIII.
