Trabia - Winter Island

Trabia, in Final Fantasy VIII, is a frigid continent located in the northeastern part of the world map, characterized by its ice-covered terrain and rugged mountains. A massive crater lies on the southern edge of the continent, resulting from the Lunar Cry event triggered by Esthar's Lunatic Pandora tests 17 years prior. Trabia is notable for its cold climate and unique inhabitants, including the Shumi and Moombas who primarily reside on the northwestern island. It also hosts an educational institution called Trabia Garden, where orphans are educated and trained, sometimes in hopes of transferring to Balamb Garden to become SeeDs. In the game, Trabia Garden suffers an attack and is destroyed, leaving a significant impact on the region. This region is also home to side quests that allow players to explore more of the game world. Trabia's Winter Island is one of the key areas, which also houses the Shumi Village.
