Dollet - Holy Glory Cape

The Duchy of Dollet is a small, independent duchy in Final Fantasy VIII located in the northeast region of the Galbadia continent. It is the setting for Squall, Zell, Seifer, and Selphie's SeeD entrance exam. Dollet is one of the few locations in the world that possesses broadcasting technology, making it important to multiple parties. It is the last remnant of the Holy Dollet Empire, most of which is now governed by Galbadia. Due to its warm climate and beautiful scenery, it has become a popular tourist attraction. Dollet was once the capital of the Holy Dollet Empire, which once governed much of the Galbadia continent and possessed broadcasting technology. In the game, Dollet is where the protagonists undergo their SeeD field exam mission. They are sent to remove the Galbadian army from the city, and then chase Seifer to the radio tower on the mountain. While Dollet is an independent duchy known for its broadcasting technology and tourism, it was once a powerful empire that was later absorbed by Galbadia, becoming a small duchy. Later in the game, the player can return to Dollet, finding some things changed, including the pub and hotel and side quests related to the card queen.
