Centra - Poccarahi Island

In Final Fantasy VIII, Centra is not an island but rather an ancient civilization that once flourished but was destroyed by the Lunar Cry, leaving behind remnants such as the Centra Ruins and Edea's House. While there is no specific mention of Poccarahi Island, the Centra continent itself is located in the southern part of the world map and was once home to a highly advanced technology and culture. The Centra civilization's architecture was similar to ancient Rome, with white stone buildings, intricate murals, and stone pillars. It is theorized that the Centrans were highly mobile people, and they built mobile dwellings the size of cities which could float and move across the land, including Balamb Garden, Galbadia Garden and Trabia Garden. The Lunar Cry destroyed the Centra civilization, and caused the phenomenon that brought a crystalline pillar from the moon to Centra, which was later excavated by Esthar and used to create the Lunatic Pandora. Now, only the destroyed ruins and memories of its glorious past remain of the once flourishing Centra civilization.
