Centra - Serengetti Plains

In Final Fantasy VIII, Centra (セントラ) is an ancient civilization that once flourished but was destroyed by the Lunar Cry. Remnants of Centra are scattered throughout the world, most notably the Centra Ruins, Edea's House, and mobile shelters. Despite the fall of Centra, its technological and cultural influence remains. Centra's architecture blended ancient Roman elements with mysterious technology, showcasing intricate stone carvings and murals alongside complex wires and pipes. The Centrans were a highly mobile people, constructing mobile shelters resembling small cities, which became the Balamb Garden, Galbadia Garden, and Trabia Garden in the game. The destruction of Centra serves as a profound lesson and sets the stage for subsequent events. The Centra Ruins house various items, enemies, including the powerful Guardian Force Odin and the Tonberry King, as well as Odin's Chamber, accessible by solving puzzles.
