Esthar - Cactuar Island

Esthar is a major political power in Final Fantasy VIII and the name of its capital, Esthar City. It's located on the continent east of Galbadia and is Galbadia's main political rival. Esthar is technologically advanced and governed by a president. Since the Sorceress War, the city has been hidden using an Optical Camouflage System (OCS). Cactuar Island, located south of Esthar, is an optional area in the game. This small island is populated by Cactuars, which provide a lot of AP and are great for leveling up Guardian Forces. There's also a special boss monster, Jumbo Cactuar, who upon defeat grants the Cactuar Guardian Force. The island can only be accessed by the Ragnarok airship. Cactuar Island is a great place for grinding, as the Cactuars have low HP and give little EXP, but provide significant AP for low-level players. Additionally, the Jumbo Cactuar drops a rare card. In summary, Esthar is a high-tech nation, while Cactuar Island is a challenging location full of rewards.
