Esthar - Abadan Plains

Esthar, in Final Fantasy VIII, is a technologically advanced nation that spans the entire eastern continent. Its capital city, also named Esthar, has been hidden by an Optical Camouflage System (OCS) since the Sorceress War. The nation is governed by a president, currently Laguna Loire. Esthar's history dates back 4000 years when the Centra civilization split into the empires of Dollet and Esthar. While Dollet focused on military might, Esthar pursued scientific advancements, which eventually led to the Sorceress War under the rule of Sorceress Adel. After the war, Esthar closed its borders, becoming known as the "Silent Nation." Abadan Plains is a location within Esthar, which, in the later part of the game, is invaded by lunar creatures following the Lunar Cry event. Players explore Esthar and interact with its leaders and inhabitants to progress through the story. Esthar's technological prowess is evident in its cloaking technology, mechanized soldiers, and other high-tech weaponry. The nation plays a significant role in the game, providing substantial plot and exploration content.
