最终幻想8, ファイナルファンタジーVIII, Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIII is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) as the eighth main installment in the Final Fantasy series. Originally released for the PlayStation in 1999, it has since been ported to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Network, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is set in a fantasy world with science fiction elements and follows a group of young mercenaries, led by Squall Leonhart, as they are drawn into a conflict sparked by a sorceress named Edea Kramer. The game is known for its innovative 'Junction' system, unique battle mechanics, and deep storyline. The Junction system allows players to draw magic from enemies and junction it to character attributes to enhance their stats. Additionally, Final Fantasy VIII was the first in the series to use realistically proportioned characters and a vocal theme song, "Eyes on Me." The game was a commercial success worldwide and is often considered a fan favorite in the series.
