Behemoth

Behemoth (ベヒーモス) is a powerful monster in Final Fantasy VIII. It typically appears in the Esthar region after the Lunar Cry event. In the game, devouring a Behemoth can permanently boost a character's Magic stat. Quistis can learn its Blue Magic 'Mighty Guard' from the Barrier item it drops. Behemoths use powerful physical attacks and spells, including Meteor, as well as the 'Mighty Guard' Blue Magic. In the 'Triple Triad' card game within Final Fantasy VIII, Behemoth is also a card that can be transformed into the Barrier item via the card mod ability, useful for learning Quistis's skill. Behemoth is a recurring enemy throughout the Final Fantasy series, typically known for its strong magic and physical attacks, and is encountered as a late-game challenge. Its appearance and abilities can vary across different games, but it is generally considered one of the most challenging enemies in the later stages of the game. It is typically a large, purple, canine-like creature with bull-like horns and a mane.
