Blitz

Blitz is a monster in Final Fantasy VIII, primarily found in the forests of the Centra continent. It's a humanoid creature clad in armor that can electrify itself to boost its strength and shock players. A Thunder-elemental enemy, Blitz charges itself with Thunder magic, healing itself and strengthening its attacks. Attacking Blitz while it's charged will inflict additional Thunder-elemental damage. Blitz is notable for its rare Power Generator drop, which refines into Pulse Ammo, a powerful ammunition, and teaches Quistis the Ray-Bomb Blue Magic spell. In the Final Fantasy VIII minigame "Triple Triad," Blitz is a Level 4 card that can be refined into Dynamo Stones, which in turn become Thundaga spells, making it valuable in the early game. The name "Blitz" is German for "lightning," and also denotes speed in English.
