Blood Soul

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Blood Soul," or ブラットソウル in Japanese, is both an enemy and a Triple Triad card. As an enemy, Blood Soul is a small, flying undead creature commonly found on the Galbadian continent. It attacks by inflicting the 'Zombie' status and then uses curative spells to damage zombified characters. Blood Souls are resistant to physical attacks but are weak to Fire and Holy. They can be instantly killed with resurrection abilities or items. Higher-level Blood Souls become more cunning, applying 'Zombie' first and then using healing. They often appear with other monsters, such as Belhelmel, and use status attacks like Silence, Confuse, and Sleep. As a card, Blood Soul is a Level 1 monster card with low stats but a bottom value of 6, which is high for a Level 1 card. You can obtain this card by defeating Blood Soul monsters or winning it in Triple Triad. It can also be transformed into Zombie Powder using Quezacotl's Card Mod ability, an early method to get the Zombie spell. This card has a blue and red side and is a rare collectible in the game's card collection.
