Edea(Boss)

Edea, also known as Sorceress Edea, appears in Final Fantasy VIII as both a boss and a temporary playable character. She is a powerful sorceress with mystical abilities. Initially, she is possessed by Ultimecia, a sorceress from the future, and acts as an antagonist, posing a significant threat to the protagonists. Edea wields unique attacks, including potent magic and a Limit Break called "Ice Strike." Players engage her in combat multiple times, most notably in Deling City and Galbadia Garden. During the battle in Galbadia Garden, players can draw the Guardian Force Alexander from her. Later, Edea breaks free from Ultimecia's control and briefly joins the party, aiding them in their fight. Edea is distinguished by her strong magical prowess, though she is weaker in physical combat. As a temporary ally, she can equip Guardian Forces and use magic, but she lacks a unique weapon, instead using energy blasts for basic attacks. Players can play Triple Triad with Edea at her house and win the rare Edea card. She is a complex and critical character in the game, and her experiences and transformation drive the storyline.
